Studio Policies

Season

Our recreational program runs from September – May and includes at least 30 weeks of instruction, except where otherwise noted*.

In some cases you will receive more than the 30 guaranteed classes; however, a minimum of 30 weeks will be run.

In the case of class cancellations i.e. inclement weather, holidays, etc. resulting in less than 30 weeks of classes being offered, make up classes will be scheduled. See our Calendar for holidays & breaks.

*Tumbling & Flexibility classes run from September – March and includes at least 20 weeks of instruction. See the important dates for holidays & break.

General Policies

A monthly recreational newsletter will be sent via email each month. Please keep your email address updated to continue receiving information. All studio closure dates will be in the studio monthly newsletter each month.

Please try to keep the lobby as quiet and clean as possible!

No street shoes should be worn past the lobby; this includes parents and guests. Students are asked to use the cubbies and the hooks located in the back hallway, for their belongings. The front lobby is for shoes and waiting family members only.

We are a nut free studio and have students and two teachers with a severe allergy, no products containing nuts can be brought into the building.

Classes will be conducted with the doors closed; viewing windows and/or TVs will be on for viewing recreational classes; dancers and parent(s)/guardian(s) are asked not to walk into a rehearsal.

Students 12 & under must wait inside the building to be picked up.

Class Etiquette Reminders

  1. Proper attire is important as it allows the teacher to view the students body alignment and ensures that they are performing exercises properly.
  2. No jewelry should be worn in class.
  3. No street shoes, gum or food is permitted in the dance studio.
  4. Dancers are asked to use the restroom before class.
  5. No gum or food is allowed in the dance room; water bottles are permitted and encouraged.
  6. The use of phones and electronic devices is prohibited during rehearsals.
  7. Dancers are asked to keep chatter in class to a minimum.
  8. Dancers should not leave the studio without the permission of the teacher.
  9. Dancers should be prepared to work hard and have fun during all classes!
  10. Dancers should help support and encourage other dancers
